Life is full of ironies. There are parasites that take over the brains of snails and force the snails to stand in the open as easy prey for birds, yet those same snails live longer on average. The internet was originally designed as a new, modern way of spreading information quickly, yet has become a highway for hoaxes and false info. Religion was supposed to be a way to teach morals and unify peoples, yet has caused more death than can be imagined.
Based on this, it seems like all life is a series of ironies, boggling the mind and engaging the imagination.
For example, humans have created many mathematical concepts based on the idea of infinity, yet we cannot truly grasp the idea of infinity itself. How do we create concepts using a concept that drives you insane if you ponder it for too long?
Also consider the following: our brains store all the information we know, yet we know very little about the brain itself. We are constantly using something but we have no clue how most of it works!
So what does this all mean? Are our lives defined by ironies? Are we naught but living examples of them?
I don't know, but it keeps me up at night.
